We guide you through natural poses and movement, so you always know what to do, and catch the real moments in between: the two of you on a good day, not a catalogue.

Several backdrops in one hour

Viewpoints over the Alfama rooftops, azulejo benches, the yellow trams and the river squares: an hour covers two or three of them.

Light chosen for your date

We send a start time by the sunrise or sunset on your day, when the light is soft and the old town is still quiet.

Planning a couple photoshoot in Lisbon

Where it happens

Most couple sessions start at the Alfama viewpoints, Santa Luzia and Portas do Sol, with the rooftops and the river below. From there we walk down lanes with azulejo walls, bougainvillea and red doors, past the cathedral to the tram streets of Baixa, and finish by the Rua Augusta Arch, Praça do Comércio or the Cais das Colunas steps.

What an hour looks like

We meet at Miradouro das Portas do Sol. The first minutes at the viewpoint are for settling in while we show you how to stand and move. Then we walk to one more spot nearby. With two hours we continue down to Baixa and the river; with three, most of the old town at an easy pace.

When to book it

Early in your trip, if you can: if it rains on the day, we move the session to another day for free. For the quietest streets and the softest light, we start around sunrise. By nine the viewpoints fill with people.

Engagements, anniversaries and honeymoons

Every couple session works for an occasion. Planning to ask the question? See proposal photography. Getting married? We also photograph small weddings and elopements.

Couple session questions

Plain colours without big logos, matching each other in tone rather than identical. Long dresses move well in the wind. Comfortable shoes: we walk the whole time, much of it on cobblestones. Leave phones and keys in a bag rather than in your pockets.

No. Most couples say that before the session. We guide every pose and movement, so you only need to walk, talk and follow a few simple directions.

Early morning: soft light and empty viewpoints. The hour before sunset is the second choice, with warmer light and more people around.

We move the session to another day of your trip for free. Light rain and wet cobblestones can also make lovely photos, if you want to go ahead.

Yes. One hour covers two nearby spots in Alfama. With two hours we add Baixa and the river; with three hours we cover most of the old town.
